In 1947 Ed Bernhard started as a one man construction company located in Harrisburg, SD. Over the past 64 years his company has grown into a multi-million dollar construction firm. When one asks Ed the secret of his success his reply is always the same, “Our clients are important to us, they depend on us to deliver a quality product constructed to meet their needs and to service their needs before, during, and after to project is completed. NOTE OF INTEREST

BHI is acutely aware of the problems of the agricultural problems of harvesting and storage of harvested products since we experience the same type of problems.

One of our company’s sideline interests are apples. BHI owns and operates the largest apple orchard in South Dakota. The growing, harvesting, and selling of our apples gives us a shared prospective as to many of the same problems shared by our agricultural clients.
